Once the bolt is tightened, the washer and bolt head fit together. The bolt cannot back off as it acts as a "wedge" and will put a downward force onto the metal it is tightened to due to the opposing wedges on the bolt head and washer

Ensure that the washer and bolt are aligned properly. The wedges on the washer and nut or bolt head are facing together and the flat part of the washer facing the surface of the material that you are fastening.

Tighten system as you would with a regular nut and bolt.

To demonstrate the advantage of the LP Fastener system, apply torque to the bolt with your hands and try to loosen. Because of the patented engineering behind the system using wedging, you will not be able to loosen the system without using either a socket or wrench.

In order to disengage* the system, simply turn the washer at the same rate as the bolt or nut with a wrench or socket. The system will disengage.

*If the washer and nut start to wedge against each other, tighten the nut so the wedging is eliminated.

LP Tamper-Proof Washer

For tamper-proof applications, use the same instructions as the LP Washer but ensure the indexing tabs on the LP Tamper-proof Socket and Washer line up.

Tighten system as you would with a regular nut and bolt.

To demonstrate the advantage of the LP Tamper-proof Washer, try to disengage without the LP Tamper-proof Socket. Because of the patented engineering behind the system using wedging and the indexing tabs, you will not be able to loosen the system without using the special socket or wrench.

In order to disengage* the system, simply turn the washer at the same rate as the bolt or nut using the LP Tamper-proof Socket. The system will disengage. (The LP Tamper-proof Socket is available upon request)
